The MND: We Firmly Oppose Using Freedom of Navigation as a Pretext to Provoke China or Harm China’s Sovereignty
9月14日下午，國(guó)防部新聞局局長(zhǎng)、國(guó)防部新聞發(fā)言人吳謙大校就近期涉軍問題發(fā)布消息。
記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，德國(guó)國(guó)防部長(zhǎng)稱兩艘德海軍艦艇穿航臺(tái)灣海峽。有德國(guó)官員表示，此次過航是為了維護(hù)航行自由。請(qǐng)問發(fā)言人有何評(píng)論？
Question: According to reports, German Defense Minister said that two German naval vessels sailed through the Taiwan Strait. German officials noted that this passage was to maintain freedom of navigation. What is your comment?
吳謙：9月13日，德方兩艘軍艦過航臺(tái)灣海峽并公開炒作，中國(guó)人民解放軍東部戰(zhàn)區(qū)組織?？毡?duì)德艦全程跟監(jiān)警戒。航行自由并不意味著橫行自由，更不能借此挑釁和危害中國(guó)的主權(quán)和安全。中國(guó)軍隊(duì)時(shí)刻保持高度戒備，采取有力措施挫敗一切挑釁圖謀，堅(jiān)決捍衛(wèi)國(guó)家主權(quán)和領(lǐng)土完整，堅(jiān)決維護(hù)臺(tái)海和平穩(wěn)定。
Wu Qian: On September 13th, two German warships sailed through the Taiwan Strait and later hyped up the issue. Naval and air force troops of the PLA Eastern Theater Command monitored the German warships throughout the transit. Freedom of navigation does not equal willful trespassing, nor should it be used to provoke China or harm China’s sovereignty and security. The Chinese military remains on high alert and will take all necessary measures to resolutely defend China’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and firmly safeguard peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
